Overview
Sluggerz March Break Baseball Camp is designed for beginner and intermediate players as players will be grouped according to skill, age and gender (where appropriate). The goal of the program is to introduce new players to the game of baseball in a positive and safe environment. Players with more experience will be challenged to improve their skill set and expand their knowledge of the game.
The program is designed and instructed by up and coming AA and AAA players in the Ottawa Area and ONC baseball players and other baseball specialists.
The majority of the day will be spent on baseball related activities with skills such as fielding, catching, hitting and pitching being emphasized. We can’t forget this is a game and our summer camp is also designed to be FUN, with our wide range of activities withing the facility, your child will have a March Break to remember!

Facilities/Activities
The Sluggerz March Break makes use of the full range of Ottawa Mega Dome’s modern indoor facility. This facility includes a 100,000 sq/ft field, Sluggers batting cages with brand new pitching machines and well as the pitching mounds. Each day we prepare two complete schedules, one including outdoor activities and lessons for good days and the other for wet or excessively hot days which takes place entirely indoors. There is no need to worry about campers being bored if the weather turns bad. To switch things up we also have access to some of Maxx games indoor inflatables that includes a 55 ft slide and Laser tag once a week for a little change of pace!

Campers should bring their own baseball glove. All other equipment will be provided. It is optional for campers to bring their own batting helmet and/or cleats.
Age Range
Children who are between 6 ( in grade 1) and 12 years old.
Campers are divided into 2 groups based on age (6- to 8-year-olds and 9- to 12-year-olds)
Camp Hours
The hours of the camp are from 8:00am to 5:00pm daily
- Drop off is from 8:00am to 9:00am
- Pick up is from 4:00pm to 5:00pm

Summer Camp
Welcome to Sluggerz Summer Baseball Camp, a dynamic program tailored to both novice and intermediate players. Participants will be organized into groups based on their skill level, age, and, when applicable, gender. Our primary objective is to provide a positive and secure environment for newcomers to discover the joys of baseball.
For those with prior experience, we are dedicated to helping you refine your skills and deepen your understanding of the game. The program is meticulously crafted and led by Ottawa Gee Gee's varsity baseball players, along with other accomplished baseball specialists. Additionally, we're thrilled to announce that we'll have special guest speakers from the Ottawa Titans Pro Baseball Team joining us once a week to offer coaching and engage in practice drills.
Throughout the day, we'll immerse ourselves in a variety of baseball-related activities, with a strong focus on essential skills such as fielding, catching, hitting, and pitching. But let's not forget that this is, above all, a game, and our summer camp is designed to be incredibly FUN! Within our extensive facility, your child will enjoy a wide range of activities, creating unforgettable summer memories.

Facilities and Activities
The Sluggerz Baseball camp maximizes the state-of-the-art amenities offered by the Ottawa Mega Dome's modern indoor facility. This impressive venue boasts a sprawling 100,000 square-foot field, complete with Sluggers batting cages equipped with brand-new pitching machines and pitching mounds. Our camp takes full advantage of this facility by providing two comprehensive daily schedules to cater to various weather conditions. One schedule is designed for sunny days, featuring outdoor activities and lessons, while the other is tailored to wet or excessively hot days, offering a full day of engaging indoor activities.
Rest assured, bad weather won't dampen the spirits of our campers. To keep things exciting, we also have access to Maxx Games' indoor inflatables, including Ottawa's largest inflatable obstacle course, a thrilling 50-foot slide, tug-of-war competitions, and weekly laser tag sessions. Additionally, weather permitting, on Thursdays or Fridays, we embark on an invigorating walk to the Cardel Recreation Center for an hour of swimming, ensuring a well-rounded and enjoyable experience for all our campers.
