Lucien Bazinet

Pitcher | Coach | University of Ottawa Gee-Gees

Lucien Bazinet honed his skills with the Windsor Selects Baseball organization from ages 13 to 17, competing in the Canadian Premier Baseball League (CPBL). Starting as a Third Baseman and Pitcher, he played a key role in his team’s 15U championship, throwing a complete game shutout in the semifinals. Lucien trained under Division 1 and MLB-experienced coaches, including Mark Picard, a former pro scout and Team Canada coach.

In his 16U and 18U years, Lucien took on a coaching role with the Riverside Royals 13U team, focusing on pitching mechanics and arm care. His passion for coaching led him to continue teaching young athletes how to maintain healthy arms while increasing velocity and accuracy.

Currently in his third year as a pitcher for the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees, Lucien has established himself as a consistent performer, known for his command and ability to avoid hard contact. Off the field, he contributes to the development of young athletes through Sluggerz summer baseball camps and clinics, specializing in pitching and hitting techniques.

Lucien’s goal is to empower the next generation of players with the knowledge and skills to improve their mechanics and performance while prioritizing arm care.
